Getting started
Everything you need to find karaoke near you and stay in the loop.
Welcome to KaraokeCrowd. This guide shows you how to find karaoke nights near you, keep track of listings you follow, and help others find karaoke too.
Browse venues
The Venues page lists every karaoke venue in the directory. You can scroll through, or jump to a specific area using the filters.
Venue status vs. karaoke status
Each venue has two independent pieces of information:
- Venue status (open, temporarily closed, permanently closed) tells you whether the place itself is operating. A permanently closed venue stays on the site for reference, but you won't find karaoke there anymore.
- Karaoke status (active, unverified, no known events) tells you whether the venue currently runs karaoke. An open venue might not have karaoke, and a venue with unverified karaoke might still run nights but nobody has confirmed one recently.
Both show up as banners on the venue page so you know what to expect before you go. See Verification statuses for what each label means.
Filters and search
On the Venues page, use the filter bar to narrow things down:
- Day of week. Pick which night of the week you're free. The list then only shows venues with karaoke on that day.
- Radius / Near me. Set how far you're willing to travel. If your browser shares your location, "Near me" centers the radius on where you are right now.
- Search by name or city. Type a venue name, city, or neighborhood to jump straight there.
You can combine filters. For example: Wednesday nights, within 10 km, near me.
The map
The map is the fastest way to see what's around you at a glance. It shows venues and their upcoming dated events together, so you can zoom in on your neighborhood to see what's nearby and what's happening soon.
Use the time-window controls to focus on a specific night, and the sidebar filters — day, distance, category, amenities, accessibility, and more — to narrow down to the kind of karaoke you want.
Follow venues and hosts
When you find places or hosts you care about, follow them to keep up with schedule changes. KaraokeCrowd sends at most one combined daily digest across all venues and hosts you follow, and only when changes matter.
For the exact digest rules, notification settings, host batch-following, RSVP visibility, "not happening" alerts, and friends features, see Following and Notifications.
RSVP
On any event page, click I'm going to mark yourself as going. It helps you keep track of your plans and gives other singers a sense of how busy an event might be.
RSVP visibility and "not happening" alerts are covered in Following and Notifications.
Sharing events
Use the share button on an event, venue, or karaoke night page to copy a link you can send to friends.
Country and city pages
The Countries page lists countries where KaraokeCrowd has city coverage. Pick a country, then a city, to see recurring nights, karaoke rooms, and upcoming events there.
Tips for a better experience
- Confirm events you attend. After you go, hit Confirm Event on the event page. This moves it from Scheduled or Check first to Verified and helps the next singer trust the listing.
- Report when an event isn't happening. Show up to find the karaoke isn't on? Hit Report not happening or wrong time so nobody else wastes a trip.
- Check before you travel. Events marked Scheduled are generated from recurring schedules and are usually accurate, while Check first dates need a quick look before you go. A quick call to the venue is always safest if you're going out of your way.
