Terms of Use

1. Scope

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") apply to all users of the website karaokecrowd.com and any associated services (the "Service"). The Service is operated by:

By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part, do not use the Service.

2. Accounts and age requirement

Account registration is only available to persons who are at least 18 years old. Minors may not use account-based features.

You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must protect your sign-in credentials, including access to the email address linked to your account, from unauthorized access by third parties.

We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts without prior notice, in particular when:

these Terms or applicable law are violated,
the Service is used in an abusive manner, or
other significant legal or security reasons so require.

3. Directory data and editing

KaraokeCrowd is a community-maintained directory. You may submit venues, hosts, karaoke nights, corrections, reports, and related evidence. We reserve the right to edit submitted data, merge it with existing entries (deduplication), translate it, or reject it. Submitted data becomes part of the public directory and may remain there even after your account is deleted.

You represent that you hold the rights necessary to make each submission and that, to your knowledge, the submitted information is accurate and lawful to share.

4. User-generated content (UGC) and license grant

In addition to directory data, you may create content that constitutes your own creative expression: in particular profile bios, Memories, Memory replies, atmosphere tags, tag agreements, comments, posts, images, and social post links (the "UGC"). You retain ownership of your submitted content.

For UGC that you submit or upload through the Service, you grant Makerprism UG (haftungsbeschränkt) a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use the content in connection with the Service and for associated moderation, backup, and improvement tasks, including storing, reproducing, editing, translating, publishing, displaying it, and generating aggregate or derived signals from it (e.g., atmosphere summaries, counts, or recognition patterns).

This license applies for the duration that the content is available on the Service and terminates once the content has been permanently removed. Deleting your account does not automatically remove all of your content, as it may have become part of the directory (see § 3).

Social post links that you share as part of a Memory are simple outbound references to third-party content on external platforms. You are responsible for ensuring that the links you share are lawful and do not expose anyone without their consent. KaraokeCrowd does not store, display, or host any content from the linked platform.

5. Listing data and accuracy disclaimer

We strive for accuracy and timeliness of listing data but do not guarantee its correctness.

Karaoke schedules, venue details, opening hours, and event status may change at any time without notice. Always verify important details directly with the venue or host before making plans. We accept no liability for decisions made based on information contained in the directory.

6. Claiming listings

Venue owners and hosts may claim management of their listing ("Claim"). By claiming, you confirm that you are authorized to manage the listing. Unauthorized claims may result in the claim being revoked and, potentially, your account being suspended.

Claimed listings remain subject to these Terms; in particular, the license for prior community contributions to the listing remains in effect.

7. Rules of conduct

The following actions are prohibited:

Submitting illegal, misleading, abusive, discriminatory, harassing, spam-like, or rights-infringing content.
Automated scraping, overloading, or attacking the Service, and attempts to circumvent security or access controls or to reverse-engineer the Service.
Impersonating another person or falsely claiming management rights for a venue or host.
Uploading content you do not have the rights to, especially copyrighted material without the rights holder's consent.
Using the Service for purposes that violate applicable law, in particular competition law, copyright law, or the general personality rights of third parties.
Systematically disrupting operations or community activities.
Using the Service for commercial purposes without prior written consent (in particular automated data retrieval or bulk export).
Abusing atmosphere tags or tag agreements, in particular systematically manipulating vibe signals.

If you violate these rules, we may remove contributions, restrict access, or suspend your account.

8. Images and uploaded content

You may only upload images and other content you have the rights to share. Uploading the following is prohibited:

Private, intimate, or sensitive images of persons without their consent
Illegal, violence-glorifying, or youth-endangering content
Content that violates copyright or other third-party rights

We are entitled to review, reject, remove, resize, crop, moderate, or delete uploaded content at any time without prior notice. There is no entitlement to have uploaded content published or retained.

9. Availability and changes to the Service

KaraokeCrowd is provided as an evolving service. Features may change, be temporarily or permanently unavailable, or be discontinued at any time.

We are entitled to edit or remove content, reject contributions, restrict access, or discontinue the Service in whole or in part when necessary for operations, security, legal compliance, or the development of the Service.

10. Warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability

10.1 Warranty disclaimer

The Service is provided as-is. No warranty is given for uninterrupted availability, completeness, accuracy, or freedom from errors.

10.2 Limitation of liability

Liability of Makerprism UG (haftungsbeschränkt) is limited as follows:

For damage resulting from injury to life, body, or health, we are liable without limitation.
For intent and gross negligence, we are liable without limitation.
For slight negligence, we are liable only in case of breach of a material contractual obligation (cardinal obligation) and only to the extent of the foreseeable, typically occurring damage.
The above limitations do not apply where liability is mandatory under statute.

10.3 Liability for links

Our Service contains links to external third-party websites whose content we cannot influence. We do not assume liability for the content of linked pages (cf. Legal Notice).

11. Intellectual property notice

If you believe that a contribution infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please contact us at sabine@karaokecrowd.com. We will investigate promptly and remove the affected contribution if necessary.

12. Changes to these Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms as needed, in particular when the Service, legal requirements, or operational needs change. The date at the top of the page indicates the currently applicable version.

For material changes affecting account holders, we will take reasonable steps to make the change visible (e.g., a notice upon next login or via email). Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the new version.

13. Final provisions

13.1 Governing law and jurisdiction

The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany apply. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which you have your habitual residence remain unaffected.

If the user is a merchant within the meaning of the German Commercial Code, a legal entity under public law, or a special fund under public law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Saarbrücken. We are entitled to bring claims against the user at any other permissible court.

13.2 Severability

Should individual provisions of these Terms be or become invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. The invalid provision shall be replaced by one that comes closest to the economic purpose of the invalid provision.
