Signing in and your account
What you can do signed in, and how to sign in without a password.
You can browse most of KaraokeCrowd without an account — searching venues, reading schedules, and opening the map all work signed out. Signing in unlocks the things that are tied to you.
What signing in lets you do
- Follow venues and hosts, and get a daily digest when their schedules change.
- RSVP to events with I'm going.
- Claim and manage a venue or host listing — see Claiming.
- Get credit for your contributions in your profile history.
You can confirm an event while signed out, and you can start adding karaoke too — though you'll sign in to submit a new listing.
How to sign in
There are no passwords. On the sign-in page you can:
- Continue with Google, or
- Email me a sign-in link — enter your email and we send a one-tap magic link. Opening it signs you in and returns you to where you started.
Sometimes you'll sign in right where you are: an action that needs an account (like following) opens a small sign-in box instead of taking you off the page.
Your language
KaraokeCrowd is available in English, German, French, and Spanish. Use the language switcher in the footer to change languages — the page you're on stays the same, just translated.
Your profile
Your profile shows your approved contributions. You can keep it private if you'd rather not be listed publicly — see Following and Notifications for how profiles and visibility work.
