Linking a host to existing events

Sometimes a host page shows no upcoming events even though you know the host is performing this week. That usually means the events live in the directory under the venue — but no one has linked the host to them yet.

Events on KaraokeCrowd are stored per venue. When an event has a host attached, that host's profile picks it up automatically. Without the link, the host page can't surface it.

How to fix it

  1. Find the event. Search by venue, by city, or browse the venue's page directly.
  2. Open the event. Click "Suggest a change" on the event page.
  3. Add the host in the host field, then submit.
  4. A guide will review and approve within a day or two.

If the host runs the night regularly, add a recurring series

Suggesting a recurring series at the venue (with the host attached) covers every upcoming date in one go, instead of editing each event:

  1. Open the venue's page.
  2. Suggest a new recurring series — pick the weekday, time, and add the host.
  3. Submit for review.

Recurring series also keep the host page in sync as new dates roll forward.

Why this matters

Karaoke runs on local knowledge. The directory only knows what the community tells it. A single linked host turns a sparse profile into something singers and bookers can actually use.
