Linking a host to existing events

If an existing event is missing from a host page:

1. Find the event by venue or city, or open it from the venue page.
2. Open the event and select Suggest a change.
3. Add the host in the host field.
4. Submit the change for review.

The event appears on the host page after the host link is approved.

Link a recurring karaoke night

If the host runs the night regularly, link the host to the recurring karaoke night instead of editing every dated event:

1. Open the venue page.
2. Open the recurring karaoke night and select Suggest a change. If it is not listed yet, add a new recurring karaoke night.
3. Add the host, check the schedule, and submit.

Linked recurring nights add their generated dates to the host page automatically.

Ask to be assigned to a show that already exists

If the show is already listed at the venue, the quickest route is the host's own Add a show page. Pick the venue, and every show already listed there appears with a checkbox. Tick the ones the host runs and submit. Shows with no host listed are assigned right away. Where another host is already credited, the request normally goes to a moderator before the listing changes, unless you already manage the venue, in which case it applies at once.

Shows already credited to another host are offered too. Listings go out of date, and saying so is a normal contribution.
